 New design with cable-less direct connectors for all target options and protective case for added robustness.
Incorporating the latest design by PGO which adds the Kinetis target option, this compact unit plugs directly onto the target boards, eliminating the need for keeping on hand all the different cables normally used for the various connectors.
Connects to the PC with a micro-usb cable (cable not included).
The full-speed USB interface gives it a speed equal to if not greater than more costly commercial solutions.
It improves on the alternative "OSBDM" derivative in that it does not need to be reflashed with a different firmware for each target family, and it can provide 3.3V or 5V power to the target device conveniently configured via software in the Codewarrior connection configuration panel.
Circuitry for providing the 12V programming voltage needed for RS08 devices is included as an option.
The firmware from PGO on the Freescale Community Forum is made available under the open source GNU GPL license.
A built-in USB-to-serial port allows data communication with the running target (5 V TTL).
