AC256 Microprocessor Board with SD, USB & RTC

AC256

  90 euros

Microprocessor board built around the Freescale AC256 microprocessor :
• 32-bit CF1, 5 Volt operation, emi resistant for noisy environments
• 256k flash, 32kb ram
• 24-channel, 12-bit ADC
• 2 SCI/UART
• 2 SPI
• I²C
• 70 GPIO
• extensive timer and clock options
• optional CAN interface

• 146 x 63 mm pcb with gold-finished contacts
• prototyping area for optional analog input filters and protection diodes and optical isolators for digital inputs
• USB interface for serial communication with a PC, optionally with optical isolator
• SD-card connector with 5V to 3.3V level-shifting circuit
• RTC with backup battery (cell not included, fits standard CR2025 or CR2032)

• Data and supply pins and contrast potentiometer connections brought out to match standard parallel interface LCD modules so that a display can be added with 1:1 connector matching.

Can be powered from the USB bus (only without optical isolator) or any external 5V power supply.

The USB port is connected to one of the SCI ports of the microprocessor via a FT232R chip. The FTDI license-free driver allows a PC running Windows, Linux or Macintosh OS-X to address the device as a virtual COM port serial interface with any baud rate that the microprocessor supports. Under Windows, Termite is a handy serial communications utility that also supports non-standard baud rates.

Free C compiler and IDE with Processor Expert hardware configuration wizard and debugger can be downloaded from Freescale:
Codewarrior CF1 Special Edition (64k code size limit)

Suitable usb-bdm background debugger programming pod.
