QE128 Microprocessor board with SD, RTC and USB interface
Versatile microprocessor board built around the Freescale QE128 Flexis microprocessor :
• 8-bit HCS08 MC9S08QE128CLK or 32-bit CF1 MCF51QE128CLK
• 128k flash, 8kb ram
• 24-channel, 12-bit ADC
• 2 SCI/UART
• 2 SPI
• 2 I²C
• 70 GPIO
• 7 x 7 cm pcb with gold-finished contacts
• USB interface for serial communication with a PC
• SD-card connector
• RTC with backup battery (cell not included, fits standard CR2025 or CR2032)
• Data and 5V supply pins and contrast potentiometer connections brought out to match standard parallel interface LCD modules so that a display can be added with 1:1 connector matching.
Powered from the USB bus or any 3.3 or 5 to 7 Volt external supply.
The USB port is connected to one of the SCI ports of the microprocessor via a FT232R chip. The FTDI license-free driver allows a PC running Windows, Linux or Macintosh OS-X to address the device as a virtual COM port serial interface with any baud rate that the microprocessor supports. Under Windows, Termite is a handy serial communications utility that also supports non-standard baud rates.
Suitable usb-bdm background debugger programming pod.
Free C compiler and IDE with Processor Expert hardware configuration wizard and debugger can be downloaded from Freescale: Codewarrior HCS08 Special Edition (32k code size limit, rsp. 64kB for CF1)
